Postcard sent by Bray to Torrey H. Webb on 18th May 1918 asking for his autograph.

Lieutenant Torrey H. Webb was the pilot of the USA’s first airmail flight. On 15th May 1918 Webb took off from Belmont Park, New York, and flew to Bustleton field in Philadelphia in his Curtiss Jenny JN-4. Webb carried one hundred forty-four pounds of mail, including over 2,400 letters, some packages, and newspapers.
