Postcard sent by Bray to Maxim Joubert on 2nd September 1909 asking for his autograph

Eldon Maxim Joubert, son of Eldon Gordon and Adelaide Louise (Maxim) Joubert, was born 15 May 1902 in Boston, Massachusetts and died 24 Nov 1980 in London. In 1932, in Wandsworth, London, he married Ivy I. Holmes.

After the death of his mother in 1907, Eldon traveled to England aboard the Cunard steamship Lusitania in 1909; and lived in England for the remainder of his life.

Joubert's well-known grandfather was Hiram Maxim, inventor of Maxim's Captive Flying Machine and the Maxim machine-gun.
