Balloon Mail

Postcard attached to a Brock's Fire Balloon by Bray and released on 22nd September 1906 asking for its return information to be supplied.

Found in Petworth.

The return address was that of Bray's future sister-in-law, Eleanor (Nellie) Hargreaves.

A Fire Balloon was a small balloon that was inflated by a lit candle and released to travel as far as it could before coming back to earth.
