Autograph request
Postcard sent by Bray to Mrssers Miggings, Orborn, The Big Eling Draper Manufacture on 2nd April 1904 asking for an autograph.
Attached to the card is a contemporary newspaper cutting that explains that the name of the company had beeen changed some 20 years earlier to Messrs. Thomas Wallis and Co. Unfortunately for Bray, unlike the reported item of mail that had been successfully delivered, the postal authorities were not as efficient this time and the card was returned undelivered with a halfpenny charge for being insufficiently addressed. You win some, you lose some!
