Thrown into the sea inside a bottle

Postcard cast into the sea by Bray on 28th September 1901.

The bottle was thrown into the water one and a half miles off Southend. Found by W. Fitch at Foulness Island on 14th October.

Also shown is the note the Bray included with the card offering a reward for the return of the card and, possibly, the bottle. This is the only recorded such note that Bray included with his "bottle" mail.
