Challenging address

Sent by Bray to The Postmaster, 1/4 s.o. on 27th May 1899.

By using the notation for the vulgar fraction of one quarter, Bray hoped that his card would delivered to the Quarter district of Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Scotland. As indicated by the instructional mark and 1/2d. charge, the Post Office deemed this attempt to be insufficiently addressed.
